Features
The many features of FDTpro provide a real toolbox to create the ideal system for your organization. You will only be exposed to the features you need, nothing more, nothing less. That's what makes this solution so easy to use.
Multiple metrics
More than a timesheet, FDTpro can also keep track of all types of data.
Whether it is for distances, word counts, money, etc., you can generate reports that are specific to each metric or combine many of them.

Multiple sections
An FDTpro timesheet may contain several sections or tables in order to meet several needs, for example, a table for time and another for travel.
An additional table could be used to display information about the user or statistics.

Dynamic or static tables
FDTpro offers two types of table :
A dynamic table is a table where the user can add rows as needed.
This type of table is used in cases where hours need to be associated with specific information such as client drop-down lists or a description text field.

A static table has a fixed form. This type of table is used for general information, or to capture hours that are only associated to the day.

The tables are made of different field types :

Example containing drop-down lists (Day and Store), Timeframe, numbers (Lunch), calculated values (Hours) and free text (Comment).
Default values can be assigned to certain fields, either globally or specifically for each user.
Dependant drop-down lists
FDTPro allows the creation of dependencies between drop-down lists in order to avoid unwanted or incoherent combinations.
The creation of dependencies ensures the accuracy of data entry.
Custom look
FDTpro adopts the colors and logo of your organization.
Fully bilingual
FDTpro is bilingual (French and English) at all levels:

at the native level of the software, such as the interface and the different messages.

at the level of the specific elements of your configuration, such as the names of the different fields and sections.

at the level of the elements that you create yourself, such as group names and drop-down list options.
The system can be used in unilingual French or English mode if this is enough for you.
In a bilingual system, each user picks his preferred language, but reports can be generated in both languages, independently from the user's preferred language.
Hosted and secured services
FDTpro is a hosted service and therefore doesn't require any server, installation, software or maintenance on your part.
Hosted services are gaining in popularity because of the large number of advantages.
Also known as SaaS (Software as a service), cloud computing, web application, or online application, this is really the new trend in information technology.
The service is available from anywhere at any time for your telecommuting employees or those who are on the road, subcontractors, contractual employees and satellite offices.
You access the system through a secured connection.
Error detection and validation
FDTpro allows you to define custom validation rules for each field.
The detection of errors from the source allows for more accurate data.
Errors are clearly displayed before saving can be completed.
Possible validations are :

Integrated variables and calculations
Calculations can be predefined in the tables.
The results from those calculations can be hidden or displayed to inform the user.
Calculations can involve fields from the current timesheet, configurable variables for each user, or statistics from previous timesheets.

User groups
Users can be assigned to groups.
Those groups can represent teams, functions, departments or divisions within your organization.
Groups allow to better manage access rights, to use groups as a criteria for reports, and to manage dependencies between groups of users and the choices that are available to them in drop-drown lists.
Users can belong to more than one group at a time.
Flexible calendar
The timesheet frequency is tailored to your needs. This can be for example every day, every week, every two weeks or every month.
Choose the beginning, the end and how you want to name each period covered by the timesheets.
Reminder email
If you have a cutoff time and want to avoid having to chase individuals, automated reminder emails can be sent.
Emails will only be sent to users who have not submitted their timesheet at the scheduled time.
Sending times as well as the number of reminders are customized based on your needs.
Timesheet status
The timesheets follow a status sequence. The statuses of a timesheet are the following :
submitted, approved and locked.
The right to change the status of a timesheet is given to certain users.
Here is a typical sequence:

The user saves the timesheet as s/he completes it.

S/he submits it to indicate that it has been completed.

Another user who has timesheet approving rights approves it. This timesheet cannot be modified from this point without being un-approved.

Another user who has timesheet locking rights locks it. The timesheet cannot be un-approved from this point without being unlocked.
Historical information on status changes in the timesheet header. This timesheet has been submitted and approuved so it's ready to be locked.

Access rights management
Users can be given different access rights.
Those right can be granted globally or for a specific group of users only.
Those rights are

read other users' timesheets.

edit other users' timesheets.

approve and reject other users' timesheets.

generate reports.

manage the system. This includes managing the list of users and managing drop-down options.
